about

'We will verify it, hopefully sooner rather than later, that 'POST INTERNET' is certainly a pivotal release in an artistic journey punctuated by so many constructive explorations that it is difficult to list their full extent. Record Of Tides is, and remains, a moving, avant-garde platform, of which Piayda holds all the login and passwords.'

We are happy to announce the release of Record Of Tides´ long-awaited ‘Post Internet’ album via Zany Music. The album was already finished in 2020 and originally supposed to be released by Kreislauf.Organistation which unfortunately missed to finish the process.
‘Post Internet’ does not belong to the ‘Purchases’ series, the album is supposed to be the legit follow-up to ‘Black Album’ (2020) while it uses the IDM context for mixing up rock music with conceptional and arty electronica. It features midi programming, sample processing, browser-based production tools, guitars, accordion, calimba, euclidian generated beats, human and robot voices. 'Post-internet' is a loosely-defined term for a 21st-century art movement involving works that are derived from the internet or its effects on aesthetics, culture and society.
According to the title´s connection to the world wide web, the album will be available digitally only.

As the album was ready for release about two and a half years ago, some tracks are already known: ‘Becausetheinternet’ already appears in a newly mastered version on ‘Songbook’, the track ‘Random Darknet Shopper’ already debuted live during the gig at Consol Gelsenkirchen in 2021. The track ‘No Sign’ feat. Primal Scapes was the first collaborative track using euclidan-generated beats which led to the PSxROT Euclids Series.

The album is promotionally escorted by two videos directed by Matthias Danberg, ‘Random Darknet Shopper’ and ‘Be Sure To Wear Flowers In Your Hair’. Danberg and Piayda have already collaborated for the Record Of Tides´ music videos ‘Vogh Beats2’ and ‘Horns Of Paradise’ from ‘Black Album’.
